My Personal Interpretation of Maya Angelous Still I come along In Still I Rise by Maya Angelou, the talker exerts words that connote a sense of mensurate, both valuable (oil, diamonds, oceans; things in nature) and materialistic (things in nature that are invest coin), in order to proclaim her bearing and self-reliance to hightail it forward and above the detrimental thoughts of race who she is perceiving as world envious of her. She is comparing her own self-identity and appraisal to the riches and cherish of the Earth. In the beginning of the poem, Angelou is saying one can bypass rumors and gossip about her, plainly she will continue to be above the bitter, twisted lies. She will continue to stand t solely. The t sounds used in this stanza hit hard, and shows empowerment. She then says one could captivating much walk of life over her, drive her into the dirt with their ostracise words, exclusively wish dust she will rise.
